Premex Reach
Premex Reach is the new umbrella name for all Premex Group’s charitable, social and environmental activities.
We actively participate in, and engage with, our local community through a series of initiatives including the support of local biodiversity projects; sponsorship of youth groups and sports teams and by encouraging our employees to participate in local community projects whenever and wherever possible. We have also launched the Sponsorship Match Scheme which allows employees who take part in charitable activities to have their funds "matched" by Premex.
Charity of the Year
Each year, employees nominate a charity to benefit from all the fundraising events held throughout the year. The nominated charity receives a donation of funds collected from a range of fundraising activities, including dress down days and themed fundraising days. Charities which have been supported over recent years include Pendlebury Children's Hospital, Bolton Hospice, Anthony Nolan Trust and Cancer Research. In 2009 we raised money for Marie Curie, helping provide hours of hands on practical nursing care in Bolton and Liverpool, enabling terminally ill people to remain at home.
A the start of 2010, Premex employees chose two charities to benefit from donations made at fundraising events held over the year. For the first six months we selected the local charity, NORCHI, who operate out of Royal Manchester Children's Hospital (Northern Congenital Hyperinsulinism Service) and for the second half of the year we will support Macmillan Nurses.
Sponsorship Match Scheme
In May 2009, we launched the Sponsorship Match Scheme enabling employees to have their charitable initiatives matched by Premex. Since the launch Premex have matched just under £5,000 in employee activities including walks, runs, climbs, skydives and record breaking dances.
Partners
We also partner a number of local sports clubs and charities including being a premier patron of the Bolton Lads and Girls Club whose aim to help the young people of today become the happy, caring and responsible citizens of tomorrow. Other partners include, Twizzles a local dance group, three local primary schools, two local football teams Burnley Belvedere Junior Football Team and Chadderton Park FC, and Bolton Hospice where we sponsor a number of their beds.
