  • New Staff: Jackie Lawrence

    Further to my recent introduction letter, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about myself and my new role.

    I have worked at Premex Services for over 6 years, carrying out a number of operational roles including team coach and key client co-ordinator. Having established a thorough understanding of the Premex process I am now looking forward to developing and taking on the new challenges that this role will bring.

    My focus initially will be on introducing you to the new developments at Premex which will make your service experience even easier and faster. Vu, our award-winning online instruction and appointment booking system, is now available and enables you to select an appointment for your client from one of 15,000 appointment slots.

    We have also recently launched our total email facility, which now allows us to send all documentation and communication to you electronically. I will be in touch to offer further information on both these services in the near future.

    Personally, as summer time approaches, and as a big national football fan, I am looking forward to the main event of the summer - the World Cup. August 2010 will also be a big month in my calendar as I am taking a trip to the V festival and also taking part in a skydive in aid of a friend's son who has complex physical needs after suffering a brain tumour. This will be my second skydive where I will be jumping out of a plane at 14,000 feet - here's to a happy landing!

    The introduction of a fully electronic service offering from Premex could not have come at a better time for our customers. With the introduction of the new MoJ reforms and the electronic portal, the requirement for both solicitors and insurers to submit information electronically has risen to the top of the service agenda.

    Not just to greenwash! As part of our commitment to the environment and sustainable business practises, through the introduction of electronic communications we aim to reduce our operational paper usage by around 3 million pieces of paper a year.

  • Vu – Award Winner

    On 6 May 2010, Premex Services attended the esteemed Claims Technology Awards at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester and picked up the award for "Most Innovative Use of Software (Medical Agency)" for its online appointment booking system, Vu.

    Premex Services was competing against some of the UK's most innovative companies, with all the big names within the industry attending the awards to see the winners announced. Whilst the polling stations were readying themselves to count in the votes in the general election, Premex's fate had already been decided. As Will Kintish, the world-renowned networking guru and compère for the evening, took to the stage to read the results, the room was tense with anticipation as, one by one, the award winners were announced. 

    As Vu was announced as the winner of the "Most Innovative Use of Software (Medical Agency)", and Donald Fowler collected the award, the value that Vu offers Premex's customers was clearly recognised and rewarded.
