Premex Services donate £3,841 to the NORCHI charity
24 August 2010A the start of 2010, Premex employees chose two charities to benefit from donations made at fundraising events held over the year. For the first six months we selected the local charity, NORCHI (Northern Congenital Hyperinsulinism Service).
On the 1st August 2008, Hayley Davies (Premex employee), gave birth to her son Leon. Shortly after birth Leon was diagnosed with Congenial Hyperinsulinism. This is a rare disorder that causes dangerously low blood sugars in newborn babies and children. It is a condition that can have very profound effects on child development. NORCHI, which is part of Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity, and provides the most up to date diagnostic facilities and the best treatment currently available.
Employees have raised £1,920 for NORCHI by participating in two themed fundraising events, including our annual Easter eggsravaganza, a World Cup day and dress down days. Premex matched the amount to give a fantastic total of £3,840 to the charity.
