Premex Limbers Up With Physiotherapy Open Day
20 February 2007The UK’s largest supplier of medical reports and services to the legal and insurance industry launched the first of its Physiotherapy Open Days earlier this month.
As part of the company’s continuing growth and ongoing communication with its clients, Premex has been steadily investing in and developing its nationwide rehabilitation and diagnostic services. These services have been designed with the help of university academics and are based around the framework and spirit of the Rehabilitation Code utilising an “Evidence Based” approach.
At the Open Day guest speaker Lisa Edwards MCSP, from the University of Liverpool, Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, presented an overview of whiplash injury and the latest physiotherapy guidelines regarding the treatment of whiplash. During the day, which contributed to CPD, the delegates were also given a review of Premex processes and the rationale behind the uniquely designed Early Action Triage System (EATS). The EATS system ensures any injuries that may benefit from individual formal assessment and treatment are identified at an early stage, ensuring the injured party can then be treated as soon as possible, at a location convenient to their home or workplace.
