Working Together With Premex
30 October 2006Following the successful seminar Pre-trial Preparation and Courtroom Skills earlier this year, Premex, the UK’s largest supplier of medico-legal reporting, has announced a further range of interactive open days.
As a continuation of its nation-wide suite of seminars for medical experts, Premex open days will now be offered free to practice managers and secretaries. Starting in October, the days will be mutually beneficial, and will show not just how Premex operates but will enable Premex to understand the different ways in which practices work.
Gordon Healiss, Expert Liaison Director, Premex, said “We deal with the practice managers and secretaries on a day to day basis, therefore it is essential Premex opens its doors to build on these positive relationships – there is so much we can learn from each other.”
Mrs Hala Obeid, a Practice Secretary for the ortheopedic surgeon Mr EMH Obeid, has seen the effects of Premex courses first hand. Following Mr Obeid’s attendance on Premex’s Medical Experts course earlier in the year, Mrs Obeid decided to attend the Open Day for Practice Managers and Secretaries. “Attending Premex’s course has guided us to vast improvements in all aspects of our practice,” she said.
“The analysis and monitoring of writing a report and the constructive criticisms received from Premex has led us to dramatic improvement in our work, subsequently having a positive effect on our performance. We now have optimism within our practice to continuously improve. Attending the Open Day, I believe there are more managerial skills to be learned from a practice manager’s and secretary’s point of view.”
