Rehabilitation Screening
The latest amendments to the Civil Procedure Rules place a responsibility on both claimant and defendant parties to consider the need for rehabilitation at an early stage in the claims process.
Premex Services’ screening process, developed with academics at Liverpool University, uses a low cost initial filter in the form of telephone questionnaire where they can assess a person’s potential requirement for rehabilitation. Depending on the result the rehabilitation team can either offer written advice on appropriate steps to manage symptoms and speed recovery, or pass the case on to one of their fully qualified panel of physiotherapists who will assess the injured party and produce an in depth report which details the findings and recommends a number of treatment sessions, should they be appropriate.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the injury and movement problems. Physiotherapy uses a range of treatment techniques including mobilisation, manipulation, massage and electrotherapy. It is used to treat ailments like back pain, muscle sprain and sports injury.
