Role Purpose:

  • To work as part of an Agile team to maintain, document and develop software solutions using the Premex tools and processes.
  • To quickly learn new skills as needed for the role.

Key Requisites:

3+ years’ experience in developing software in most or all of the following technologies:

    • C# - Essential
    • VB.Net
    • ASP.Net
    • Web services
    • Webforms / Winforms
    • WCF
    • MVC (3/4)
    • .Net framework (all versions)
    • VB6
    • Visual Studio
    • Database development in SQL server
    • Query skills T-SQL
    • Entity Framework
    • .Net Tiers
    • TFS / VSTS
    • Agile development
  1. Experience of developing effective user interfaces
  2. Working knowledge of web service based integration
  3. Strong working knowledge of relational database design and SQL
  4. Experience of User Story interpretation and of developing functionality working collaboratively with business analysts and SMEs
  5. Experience utilising an Agile methodology, including user story estimation
  6. Able to demonstrate a structured approach to development and awareness of the creation of sustainable programme code and architectures
  7. Working using TFS would be ideal

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To produce detailed designs for software solutions.
  2. To participate in the full software development lifecycle.
  3. To produce programming logic fit for purpose, working with the user stories provided.
  4. To adhere to company development best practices and guidelines and help us shape these.
  5. To provide unit test plans for each module of completed work, documented to company standards.
  6. To support major software solutions deployed throughout the business.
  7. To work as part of a cross functional Agile team to deliver system functionality in a highly collaborative environment.
  8. To use innovative thinking to create new software capabilities.
