Information for clients of PM Law and Linkfield Law
Information for Former PM Law, 3M Law and Linkfield Law Clients
If your personal injury claim was being handled by PM Law, 3M Law or Linkfield Law, you may recently have been told that these firms have ceased trading. The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has appointed an Intervention Agent to take control of all client files, documents and money. Until you appoint a new law firm, no further work can be carried out on your claim.
About your medical report
Premex is a Medical Reporting Organisation instructed by your previous law firm to arrange a medical report for your claim. This report is used by law firms to understand your injuries and help progress your case.
The report remains Premex’s property until it is paid for. Any new law firm will need our agreement to use it, and we will work with them to ensure this is handled properly.
Correspondence from the SRA
You may already have received a letter from the SRA’s Intervention Agent, Gordons LLP, explaining what the closure of PM Law, 3M Law and Linkfield Law means for you. If not, you should receive this shortly.
Although Gordons LLP is a law firm, they cannot take on your claim. You now need to choose a new solicitor to continue your case.
Choosing a new law firm
You are free to appoint any law firm you prefer. To help make the process easier, we work closely with First4InjuryClaims, an SRAregulated specialist personal injury law firm. We have given them permission to request and use your medical report where appropriate.
First4InjuryClaims is part of the First4Lawyers group, which has been supporting injured clients for many years.
If you would like to set up your claim with First4InjuryClaims using their dedicated portal please click here.

If you select another law firm
If you choose a different solicitor, please let us know which firm you have appointed. This helps us update our records and ensure the new firm can discuss your medical report or any outstanding requests with us.
