Say hello to Laura Thomas, Business Development Manager at Premex Services. Laura is based at our Bolton head office but regularly travels up and down the country attending industry events and meeting our customers to ensure our services fully integrate and harmonise with theirs.
As you can see from Laura’s second “glammed up” photo, she is no shrinking violet. Laura is affectionately known as the office diva (but in a good way) for her style and theatrical background. She lives in Bury with her partner and two Shih Tzus. We asked Laura…
What does your role involve?
My responsibilities at Premex include the development and implementation of new business strategies, account and relationship management, attendance at key industry events and the promotion of new products and services.
What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy meeting new people on a daily basis and building lasting relationships with both new and existing customers.
The reason I joined Premex was that I was looking for a company that would support my career long term as well as being innovative and a market leader. Premex ticked all those boxes. The team I work with are like family and it really helps to have the support and backing from great people who enable you to be the best you can be in your job.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I love reading, walking (with my dogs), gym classes and socialising with my friends.
What’s your biggest achievement and why?
My biggest achievement so far is graduating from university with a BA Hons (in Drama & Dance). I wasn’t very academic in high school and had to do an extra year at college to then go on and complete my degree, but it was worth it as all my hard work paid off!
Tell us a fun fact about you…
I once performed at the Millennium Dome (now the 02).
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Hanson (MMMBOP) I still go to see them live and have met them three times.
What’s your favourite saying or catchphrase?
It has to be “You’re never fully dressed without a smile.”
Do you own more handbags or shoes? How much do you think they are worth in total?
More shoes than bags, but my handbags are worth more…I have no idea how much!
