Announcement - Unfortunately the organisers of 'Silverstone 24'have had to cancel the event due to lower than anticipated numbers. However, the intrepid four will peddle on and take part in a number of other cycling events.
Four intrepid personal injury professionals will take to the hallowed tarmac of Silverstone for a gruelling challenge of suffering and endurance.
On the 14th and 15th September 2013, the iconic British Motor Racing Circuit, Silverstone, will play host to a brand new charity cycling challenge.
Four riders will be taking on the endurance contest which involves the team relaying around the prestigious Grand Prix track continuously through the day and night to complete as many laps as possible.
Premex is represented by Chris Wheatley, Sales and Marketing Director, and Richard Neve, Business Development Manager, both are fitness fanatics; Chris has competed in World Indoor Rowing Championships and triathlons and Richard is an ex-marine and is most comfortable on two wheels whenever he gets the opportunity. MASS Chairman, Craig Budsworth will be joining the team and completed a similar challenge last year at the famous Nürburgring motor circuit. The final member of the squad is Andrew Simcott from Michael W Halsall Solicitors who has competed in IronMan contests, triathlons and marathons across the world.
The foursome will be raising money for Halton Haven Hospice which cares for people with life-limiting illnesses living in Halton (Merseyside) and surrounding areas. They provide support to patients and their families according to their individual needs. A member of the team's family has had first-hand experience of the support and services the Hospice provides.
