There's a packed schedule of events, awards and networking opportunities this autumn and hopefully, for the weary PI professional not a 'Jackson reforms, how are they affecting you' anywhere to be seen. Here's our preview of the hottest tickets this season.
With August a decidedly barren period for the UK personal injury
professional looking to get out and about, September sparks into
action like a noisy alarm clock with events and important news
a-plenty. First up is the APIL
Asbestos Conference on 16th September including
keynote address from Master Roger Eastman and talks on topics such
as the modern practicalities of running an asbestos claim in
2014.
On the very same day, Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry
will play host to the PI Futures event, which this year see's
Premex Group CEO Donald Fowler among the speakers during the
keynote panel discussion.
Eleven days hence will be one of those red letter days for many
people as the statutory deadline for the
Competition and Markets' Authority's Private Motor insurance Market
investigation, when the CMA's final report is proposed to
government.
As October comes around, an event that looks perfect for those PI
and claims professionals with a love of Formula 1. The Spinal Injuries
Association 40th Anniversary AGM and Conference will
take place on 16th October at the home of Williams F1 in
Oxfordshire and will cover a huge variety of topics in pursuit of
helping injured parties live more comfortable and productive
lives.
The great and good of the personal injury profession will be
heading to Manchester's Hilton Hotel for the annual Motor Accident
Solicitors' Society conference on 6th &
7th November, of which
Premex Services is delighted to be confirmed as one of the
principle sponsors.
The
APIL Autumn conference on 26th November in London
will look at current hot topics including the Medical Innovation
Bill and asks 'who is going to pay?' on Rehabilitation, and the
year rounds off with two major events in the form of the Personal
Injury Awards which take place on November 12th, before
three weeks later, the Insurance Times Awards round off the year
with a bash for 1400 people at Battersea on 2nd
December.
We look forward to seeing many of you there…
