Autumn conference season preview

APIL Clinical Negligence Conference

The Celtic Manor in sunny South Wales is the venue for this two day event, (29th-30th September) which will cover the hot topic of clinical negligence claims in an era of fixed fee costs. There’s also an update on day two covering various cases, with commentary via legal specialists.

APIL Accidents abroad conference

The Law Society offices in Chancery Lane is the host venue for this one day conference, (3rd November) which will look at the tricky subject of accidents abroad and the legal complexities that can arise. The impact of Brexit will be on the agenda of course, plus a look at rehabilitation issues from a cross border perspective.

ABI Motor insurance conference

A major event on the calendar will be October 18th at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London as interested parties gather for the annual ABI Motor Conference. Understandably given the organisers’ agenda, there is a plenary session looking at government initiatives to tackle `compensation culture’, plus a more forward looking programme on how developments in data are affecting the industry, with a particular focus on the benefits of data sharing.

Headway Conference, Manchester

The Museum of Science and Industry plays host to this afternoon conference (29th September) on the matter of Expert Witnesses. There will be a mock questioning by Counsel and a detailed look at what trial judges, solicitors and Counsel expect to hear from an expert witness in the field of brain trauma.
